HPLB terminals

Ideal for current and future electrified vehicle solutions, the High Power Lock Box (HPLB) terminals offer a space-saving profile, superior performance, cost savings and reduced manufacturing complexity, providing efficiency and reliability as well as protection against the elements.

HPLB terminals are a “plug-in” solution with a smaller footprint, resulting in less weight and a reduced profile. We use a progressive stamping process to manufacture these HPLB profiles compared to the more costly complex screw machining of many industry competitors.

Terminal system forms a connection in a unique way that provides improved contact force as the temperature increases. Unlike traditional male-to-female terminal connections, our HPLB terminals use an inverted contact system approach for a stronger connection.

    Características principais

    • Copper (Cu) or Aluminum (Al) construction
    • Low insertion force
    • Internal spring pressure
    • Inverted contact system improves contact force over terminal lifetime

    Secondary features

    • Available in copper or aluminum terminal bodies to avoid dissimilar metals
An innovative, inverted terminal system that ensures the terminal spring member remains in constant contact with the mating terminal regardless of environmental complexities.

They save space, save costs, offer superior performance and provide more protection against the elements.

HPLB is the only terminal on the market whose performance remains constant as the environment harshens. Competitors have their springs outside the male terminal. This results in springs wanting to release as they become subject to heat and vibration, reducing normal force and current carrying capability.
