Power Xpert XGIS compact arc-resistant medium-voltage switchgear

Eaton’s Power Xpert XGIS gas-insulated switchgear is constructed with the majority of the medium-voltage parts fix-mounted and contained in a laser-welded, stainless steel, SF6-filled tank, suitable for withstanding harsh, corrosive environments. The Power Xpert XGIS MV switchgear delivers an option that is small in size and big in value, with high reliability and enhanced safety to support industrial, oil & gas, data centre, utility, mining and infrastructure segments. The enhanced safety, small footprint and virtually maintenance-free design of Eaton’s GIS helps to lower ownership cost and optimise ROI.

Take a tour of the Power Xpert XGIS switchgear

Designed for enhanced safety

The Power Xpert XGIS gas-insulated switchgear’s robust construction and decreased potential for arc faults have been validated through internal arc testing in all medium-voltage areas, including cable, breaker, switch and main bus compartments .

Small footprint

For many applications, electrical-room space is at a premium. The compact design of the Power Xpert XGIS mv switchgear fits into tighter spaces and is suitable for retrofitting in existing locations.

Virtually maintenance-free

The breaker, isolating switch and optional ports to connect VTs are contained within a single, SF6-filled, laser-welded tank for a high-quality seal with no on-site gas-filling required. With an expected lifespan of up to 40 years, the Power Xpert XGIS medium-voltage switchgear offers impressive long-term value with a low total cost of ownership.
