Heavy-Duty SmartRack Enclosures

The growth of generative AI (GenAI) is rapidly transforming the landscape and design of today's data centres, especially for enterprise, colocation and hyperscalers. The ever-increasing computing demands require heavier, wider and deeper equipment.

Eaton heavy-duty floor-standing SmartRack enclosures are future-proof solutions to accommodate the changing specifications of IT equipment. Available in 42U, 45U and 48U, these enclosures have weight capacities up to 2,267 kg (5,000 lbs) (static) and extra-deep 1372mm (54-inch) options to support GenAI applications.

We're GenAI-ready

Available in 42U, 45U and 48U, these heavy-duty enclosures have deep, extra-deep and wide options. Extra-deep 1372mm (54-inch) enclosures support generative AI servers that do not fit in standard enclosures. Wide enclosures have side channels for accessory mounting, cable routing and airflow. Additionally, the white powder-coated finish provides better visibility in high-density environments for equipment installation, maintenance and cable/port identification.

Heavy-duty construction

Designed to be fully populated with heavy servers and other IT equipment, the enclosures have 2,267 kg (5,000 lbs) static and 1,587 kg (3,500 lbs) dynamic weight capacities. Frame is 2.5 mm thick steel and has reinforced structural elements, including more welds and gussets than standard enclosures, for greater strength.

Efficient cooling

A large ventilation pattern supports efficient front-to-rear airflow in hot-aisle/cold-aisle configurations.

Easy equipment mounting

Adjustable front and rear mounting rails facilitate equipment mounting. Toolless 0U mounting rails allow quick installation of compatible PDUs and vertical cable managers.

Security for PCI DSS compliance

Locking doors and side panels provide physical equipment and media security required for PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) compliance.

Ready for deployment

Enclosures arrive assembled and ready for rapid deployment. Heavy-duty casters and levelling feet enable enclosures to be positioned in the installation and stabilised on uneven floors. Built-in baying tabs allow enclosures to be combined securely in rows.

Convenient cable pass-throughs

The removable top panel has strategically placed pass-throughs to better accommodate cables from vertical PDUs and other equipment.
