Mechanical power. Electrical power. Hydraulic power. For centuries, simply generating and harnessing that power was one of humankind's greatest challenges. Today, how our world uses power is rapidly changing: Digitisation, the Internet of Things, the electrification of transportation, and much more.
We know our customers want to conserve resources and reduce their carbon footprint. And we know that many countries have committed to ambitious targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 80 per cent by 2050.
Around the world, we're helping to make this happen by developing innovative products and solutions that enable customers to conserve resources. We are committed to improving lives and the environment while helping to solve the world's most pressing power management challenges.
Our products are changing how the world uses power, and we’re helping to make the world safer, cleaner and more connected
The future of transportation—on the road, on rails, in the skies and on the sea—is moving towards electrification. At the forefront of this change is the demand from consumers and major vehicle manufacturers to incorporate electric vehicles into their transportation offerings. With decades of experience in managing high-voltage power and developing commercial vehicle hybrid systems, we are ideally positioned to solve complex electrical challenges, such as circuit protection, including proper fuse and contactor coordination, and blended power systems.

Over the next 20 years, a minimum of US$40 trillion must be invested in new or updated electric-grid infrastructures worldwide. And we’ll provide many of the products needed to make this happen, while serving those who can’t wait for dependable power with grid-independent solutions that are reliable and safe. Our microgrid solutions combine multiple power generation sources, including generators, solar and wind, as well as energy storage, and can be integrated using a common grid structure, with the necessary loads seamlessly islanded from or paralleled with the main power grid.

Homes are more connected and automated than ever. By 2020, the average home will contain more than 35 connected devices. From smarter lighting to data-driven appliances, we’re building products that change the way homeowners and contractors use power. Our Halo Home System groups, dims and schedules a home’s lighting to dramatically cut back on wasted energy. Our Home Automation Hub allows homeowners and contractors to integrate with smart home systems to control a variety of intelligent devices.

By 2050, the world’s population will exceed 9.8 billion— placing increased pressure on food production and water resources that are already insufficient to meet global demand. Our products for agricultural machinery help increase harvest equipment productivity and efficiency, making every drop of fuel count. Out in the field, our intelligent CMA advanced mobile hydraulic valve increases efficiency and productivity, from precision seeding to the placement of the cultivator, thereby protecting delicate root systems and supporting crop growth. At harvest time, the CMA’s motion control technology helps adjust header height and drive speeds to follow the contours of the terrain and improve crop yield. Our filtration systems help the food and beverage industry deliver high quality products while reducing product loss. And our BECOPAD filters help beverage producers reduce the amount of water used for neutral rinsing by up to 50 per cent, and they’re 100 per cent compostable. Water quality agencies have come to rely on our automatic self-cleaning and mechanically cleaned filters to remove sediment and other suspended solids commonly found in surface and ground water, thus helping cities meet their watershed protection obligations and protect public health.
