An online UPS takes incoming AC mains supply and converts it into DC. This feeds a battery and the load through an inverter. When the main supply of power fails, the battery feeds the load through the inverter, resulting in there being no cut to the output supply of power. This means electronics will receive power from the online UPS instead of it coming from the AC mains source. So if the power supply fails or is interfered with, your equipment will be operational and won’t need to be stopped.
