What do you enjoy most about your role here at Eaton?

I enjoy being one of the first lines of defense at the company! Being able to use my knowledge and experience to help protect Eaton from adversaries around the world is a really cool feeling.

Can you speak to what your career journey has looked like leading up to your current role?

I started with interning at utility companies such as National Grid and TRC working more in the Power Engineering field. As a Computer Engineer, I wanted to learn more about the security of the companies I was working for. While at National Grid, I shadowed the cybersecurity team to see what they did on a day-to-day basis, and from there I was hooked. I applied to Eaton after seeing they had internships in cybersecurity and was able to start with a co-op in the spring of 2021. The team then asked me back for the summer of 2022, and that snowballed into an IT Leadership Development Program (LDP) role on the team. Finally, after my roll-off from the LDP program, I was offered a full-time position with Attack Surface Management.

What excites you most about Eaton's future?

How do you feel that you are making meaningful impact in your role at Eaton?

He also manages our Cyber Mergers and Acquisitions program, working hand in hand with the IT infrastructure integration teams during acquisitions and divestitures.

Can you speak to what your career journey has looked like leading up to your current role?

My first relevant experience prior to Eaton was an internship with law enforcement agency in the summer of 2016, helping with intelligence gathering and analysis of crime trends to more accurately predict where/when it may occur. I started with Eaton in 2017 as an ITDP within Cyber Security. My first 1-year rotation was with the Incident Response Team, where I learned the ropes of cyber security by responding to security detections, events and incidents. My second rotation was with the Threat Intelligence team, where I proactively worked to track advanced threat actors and their objectives against Eaton. I moved into a full-Time role in 2019 and have been in varying roles within Incident Response / Threat Intelligence and Security Posture since 2024. This includes leveling up my technical skills, project management for various security technology rollouts, and assignment manager for 4 ITDPs during 2023 - 2024. I moved into my current role in December of 2024.

How do you feel that you are making meaningful impact in your role at Eaton?

My role makes an impact by ensuring Eaton remains secure and ahead of the cyber curve within the North America region. It is my responsibility to educate others and help them with their understanding of what Cyber does within Eaton, and how they can help us protect what matters. Communication is critical in my role to ensure we have proper support from the business during active incidents, and to keep our stakeholders engaged during strategic cyber security objectives.
