Eaton offers advanced depot exchange for UPSs below 5 kVA or non-hardwired units. If your UPS is defective, Eaton will ship a replacement unit overnight and upon its arrival, you will return the defective unit to Eaton via ground shipment (cost of freight for both units is paid by Eaton).

Simple and cost-effective

Here are the 3 easy steps when needing to replace a defective unit
1. Notify Eaton of defective unit-calling into tech support with UPS serial number
2. Eaton ships a replacement unit overnight (freight included)
3. Customer then returns the defective unit to Eaton (freight included)

Lithium-ion batteries

Lithium-ion batteries cannot be shipped via next-day air for advanced depot exchange plans due to safety regulations. If the unit contains lithium-ion batteries, these units must be transported by ground shipping to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
