Seismic bracing solutions

Structural Attachments

TOLCO seismic structural components are ideal for attaching seismic bracing to various structural members, including wide flange beams, I-beams, C-channel, welded steel trusses, steel bar joists, and more. Break-off bolt heads provide visual verification of proper torque and installation to the structure and attachment to the seismic brace component.

TOLCO Fig. 131

Eaton's TOLCO Fig. 131 is one of the first UL approved seismic structural brace attachments for wooden joist construction applications.

  • Allows for a secure, positive connection with only two holes in the wooden structure (joist)
  • Break-off nut design helps assure verification of proper installation torque (min. 50 ft,-lbs.)
  • Features installation stamp mark to help with proper installation orientation
  • Back plate can be used for marking drill holes in the joist web
  • Larger plates help distribute load over a larger surface of the joist web to help avoid damage and strain on wood joists
  • Ideal for multi-tenant buildings and small to medium commercial fire protection and plumbing applications

TOLCO Fig. 825 Bar Joist Sway Brace Attachment To Steel

Designed to attach sway bracing and hanger assemblies to steel open web structural member using a secure non-friction connection without drilling or welding. This product’s design incorporates a concentric attachment point which is critical to the performance of structural seismic connections and important for NFPA 13. Break off head set screw design assures verification of proper installation torque. One size accommodates all Fig. 900 Series sway brace attachments.

TOLCO Fig. 828 Universal Sway Brace Attachment to Steel

The new TOLCO Fig. 828 is designed to attach sway bracing and hanger assemblies to structural members using a secure non-friction connection without drilling or welding. Secures brace to structure either across or along the beam.

Break-off head set screw helps ensure verification of proper installation torque. One size accommodates all TOLCO Fig. 900 series sway brace attachments, which can be secured with an included flange nut.

Tested and UL Listed to the new UL203A standard for a 2.2 safety factor rating and improved load ratings.

HCAI OPM pre-approved assemblies and engineering guidelines

Eaton’s HCAI OPM-0052-22 pre-approved assemblies’ catalog is a detailed reference guide to speed seismic bracing design review and bracing layout. The catalog includes Professional Engineered (PE) stamped assemblies, load data and installation diagrams for structural attachments, and featured TOLCO seismic bracing solutions, B-Line series pipe hangers and mechanical supports, strut systems, cable tray systems and more.
