The intent of this two-day course is to educate attendees with an overall understanding of microgrid and DER (distributed energy resources) application, revenue streams, and control.
The reliability of the U.S. power grid has been significantly compromised by factors such as aging equipment, lack of maintenance, insufficient infrastructure, and the proliferation of energy-hungry devices. With the ability to isolate from the primary grid, microgrids have emerged as an ideal solution to assure energy resiliency, independence from utilities, islanding, load control and optimized energy usage. Understanding the Microgrid and DER applications and controls is imperative to ensuring reliable, safe distribution systems.
Engineers and managers responsible for design, specifying, implementation, and operation for Microgrids or DER systems and for meeting corporate ESG goals.
